About the design:

The eve headscarf was designed to be a beautiful solution to a practical problem, getting my hair out of my face!

For example, I love my early mornings in the garden before the sun has any bite - I put on my headscarf and voila - my har is out of the way and I feel so cute!

Ps. this is my favourite way to do my hair when its needs a wash but I dot have time! We have spent months testing this pattern, we hope that you love this design as much as we do!

Fabric usage & suggestions:
This is a very versatile pattern, you should ideally use light - medium weight fabric (like linen, cotton, lace ect) however you can experiment with heavier weight fabrics (such as wool, corduroy, denim ect) just keep in mind it will sit much firmer when wearing and could be less comfortable.

Fitting notes:
The finished circumference of view 1 & 2 fits comfortably around a 54-58cm head (measuring from lower hairline, behind the ears to top of head. If you have very thick hair or a head that measures larger or smaller than this size, adjust the length of your elastic by 1-3cm for a more comfortable fit. If you are unsure, add extra length to your elastic, proceed with instructions and try headband on before stitching the final side of the elasticated band down.

About the design:
I made this pattern years ago when my Mum planted a beautiful veggie patch on our family farm, we were constantly filling our pockets with produce or often pesky weeds! We needed a better solution. Thus the idea was made, and I sewed one for each of us. I remember one morning I had 3 dozen eggs in my apron - I basically waddled back to the house.
Though my intention was for the garden, I have found myself wearing it around the house. It's so good for cleaning - lost socks, random toy cars, little pieces of rubbish - they all go in the great big apron pocket and keep my hands free to move about.
I really love this design and I hope you will too!
